avenging hoof.   Again designed to contribute to its agility, its feet are oval with strong pads
            and well-arched toes.

It must have a dense undercoat to keep it warm.   Its topcoat must lie straight and flat.   To do
the job that is required of it, the Pembroke must be a sound mover.   Its fluid action must
incorporate plenty of reach from the forelegs with equivalent drive and push from the hind legs.
For a dog of its size, it should cover a great deal of ground in a single stride.   The most common
colour of red (with or without white markings) can range from light honey gold to a deep
mahogany red.   The red may have black tips to it, this coat pattern being known as sable.
The Pembroke may also be a very glamourous black, red & white.
